The Importance of a Morning Routine

Do you have a Morning Routine? If you’re like most people (myself included), your morning routine has gone out of the window during this pandemic! Let’s face it. All of our lives have changed over the past few strange months.  Maybe you’re working from home and no longer have a long commute into the office. Perhaps you have children and have to wake up even earlier than you used to in order to fit homeschooling into your schedule. Maybe you have lost a job and your schedule is completely different and unpredictable. Chances are, your routine has even shifted from the beginning of quarantine to now. This new “things are opening” time when a lot of us cautiously leave our homes a little more often but things still don’t feel “normal”. I don’t know about you, but I can sometimes “forget” the times in which we are living when I am at home during the day. I busy myself with exercise, coaching, homeschooling, cooking and cleaning and it isn’t until I walk through t...

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal: Days 7-9 and Final Thoughts

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal: Days 7-9 & Final Thoughts Day 7 I’ve made it to the final 3 days. Whoo hoo!  I have to admit. Last night I was OVER my second serving of salad and brussel sprouts and asparagus. But I managed to eat it and feel full afterwards. Thankfully, today the meals are a little different- perfect timing for a change. I have to say that my family is also very over me steaming asparagus and brussel sprouts! They aren’t loving the new aromas around the house!  I’m actually very excited about the results I will notice. Anthony William says that these last few days are where the big change happens. I am ready! In fact, I have definitely noticed improvements in my mood over the past couple of days. I haven’t really noticed any other detox symptoms, although that could still happen. This morning I prepared 2 16-oz servings of celery juice since I will be having it twice today. Yay-only cleaning the blender once! Remember, ce...

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal: Day 6!

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal Day 6 I’m taking the time today to celebrate the fact that I have taken this step forward in my health. So often we don’t take time to celebrate the things we have done or are doing. We are so quick to judge ourselves for not doing enough. Not being enough. I have learned through my health coaching, how very important it is to celebrate the small things.  So, yay me! And guess what? If I can do it, you can do it too. Maybe you’re not interested in a cleanse of any sort, but chances are there is something you have in the back of your mind that you are wanting to do for yourself. Do it and then celebrate it. Don’t overthink it. You are worth the time and effort! Ok, so back to the 3:6:9…. I have almost made it to the final phase of this thing!  And I have some advice. First, don’t be too hard on yourself for not being “perfect”. (In doing the 3:6:9 AND in life, but today I will focus on this cleanse!) Yes, it is ...

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal: Day 5

Day 5! I’m so excited and proud to have made it half way through Liver Rescue 3:6:9! My liver should well be on its way to being rescued. ;) Today I’m in one of my happy “quarantine moods”! I’ve had a great day so far. Exercising, drinking my water, celery juice and smoothies. I ventured out to the grocery store and was able to get 99% of the things on my list. I did have to go to a second store to find pitaya but I found it and stocked up!  Last night was a different story. I woke up at 2 am with my heart racing and my body hot. It was like the biggest hot flash of all time! As many of us do, I went through the symptoms in my head to make sure it wasn’t Covid19. I didn’t think so and I even resisted the urge to get out of bed to check my temperature. I came to the conclusion sometime around 3:30 that I was probably experiencing detox symptoms from the 3:6:9. Coming to that realization, I was able to prevent panic. My middle of the night reasoning was that I ...

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal: Day 4

My Liver Rescue 3:6:9 Journal Day 4 I have to admit, I was a little anxious heading into Day 4. The first day that might prove a little challenging for me. I won’t be eating the same food as my family and there isn’t much variety on the menu today. I will eat asparagus and salad for both lunch and dinner. Not very exciting for most people I would say. Although my 2 vacations and quarantine-life have me off track and not feeling my best, prior to that I had been eating pretty clean and am accustomed to a lot of salad and veggies in my diet.  I often tell my family and my clients, food doesn’t have to be exciting  all  of the time. Today I will think of food as nourishment only. It will give me the fuel I need to function and in this case, to improve my health. And, guess what? I can do anything for 6 more days!! Although food doesn’t have to be exciting all of the time, I feel the need to mention that I do not believe in deprivation. We should not ha...
